My name is Azu Ifeachor. A Property Investor, Sourcer, Manager and Digital Marketer.
I have been investing in property for over a decade now and first got into it part time back in 2004 with the creative purchase of a 4 bed student house.
Back then I was not totally sure what I was doing but had previously paid to go on a two day property seminar that inspired me to take action. So I decided to feel the fear and do it anyway.
After a year or so I could see the potential that investing in property could provide, so decided to continue down the creative purchasing route and buy my second and third HMO properties.
It wasn’t too long after that when we had the dreaded crash and everyone started to panic. Banks were beginning to refuse people credit. People started to lose their homes as introductory offers expired and interest rates shot up, houses began to fall into negative equity, etc, etc.
It turns out that I was one of the lucky ones and managed to hold onto my properties. Primarily because I always knew that location and rental demand was very important. So my IT background came in very handy when it came to scrutinising the details of my investments.
It was around this time that I decided that if I wanted to make a real go of this property game, I would have to really educate myself as I only knew what I knew and that clearly wasn’t going to be enough moving forward into this new economy.
Over the next couple of years I attended numerous professional training courses, joined several networking communities and actively participate in lobbying governmental housing decisions alongside the National Landlords Association and other professional property investors.
I have now reached the stage that I truly believe I can help other investors along their personal journey to financial freedom. Most self made millionaires make or start their fortunes in times of a recession, which means that now is the best time to invest.
Unfortunately, not all investors have the money to spend on the many property courses required to tell if a property is a golden egg (good yield / infinite ROI) or a goose egg (poor yield / ROI)!
I’ve also found that those with cash don’t always have the time in their busy lifestyle to source a sound property investment.
